Feeding your Muscles

I lifted weights for seven years mixed it up with aerobics and lost 100lbs and couldn't understand why I plateaued there. I haven't gone back to it yet because one winter I tried a bootcamp with aerobic classes 3 days a week and it felt like I was going backwards. I thought I'd done myself in with those high impact exercises.

Today I'm a ViSalus Promoter and using the Fit Kit with the ViPak. In all honesty I started out using the wrong kit: the transformation kit. I figured it out by experimenting. I didn't understand why the Vi Trim wasn't working, and my shake along with one Pro Juice a day was making me hungry. I played with it. No Pro juice just shake...LoL! I was still hungry even if I added Vi Trim to my shake(Vi Trim: appetite suppressant, Pro Juice: pro-longed energy, good for all day. It doesn't jack you up with a crash later on, and I'm caffeine sensitive)! I realized I was more fit than I was admitting to myself as well as to gain the results I wanted I needed to be on the right ViSalus kit!

One day I started adding a few exercises because of the energy increase. I worked till my muscles started shaking, stretched them out and took a shake. My muscles gave me a GREAT big hug! I realized I hadn't been feeding my muscles. Protein for the muscles since they are ones that burn the fat! I drink so much water my family jokes I'm going start 'running away':) I'm starting to loose the pounds, inches, and gain body I was given in the first place.

Give your body a Christmas gift. Make yourself your own best friend. Feed your muscles protein, give your body the nutrients it needs to survive this world we are living in!!!

New Year Resolutions

And New Year's cookies! (My favorite:) My definition of New Year's Resolutions: a decision to try and fulfill a goal/present for yourself within a time limit. Average: 365 days.

What kind of goals are we looking for this year? Loose weight? Gain weight? Get fit? Maintain/balance your health? Go back to school? Stop feeling blah? Maybe you're tired of trying to maintain your goals because you never attain them so you don't do resolutions anymore. That was me until I found ViSalus. Within four weeks most of my goals, resolutions, dreams were starting to happen, break out into full speed ahead (outta my way!). The pounds are dropping, numbers are going down, and I'm starting to look like real mean machine. LoL. Anyway, I had a chat with my sister and began to try a gluten-free diet. No wonder I was always feeling blah! I was eating gluten. Now on a gluten-free diet I'm feeling my energetic self; no more blah, pounds disappearing, and inches walking away! I will have to find another resolution to try. They do work so long as each individual doesn't give up on themselves.

2013 here we come! Resolved to find a solution for a Resolution!!!

Nutrition for Men, Woman, and the Stressed

I've lost over 100lbs. I started a weight loss challenge with ViSalus because I was gaining those pounds back and normal healthy eating and exercise was helping me gain weight so obviously something was wrong with my body's system. I went to a Doctor and a few things he and she told me (I went to two different doctors).

Their advice: they told me that stress, toxins in and outside the body deplete the body of the good nutrients it needs to function. Once the good nutrition is all gone it's gone for good unless you choose to replace it. If you replace it with high quality nutrients you will feel much better than if its poorer quality. As for stress: argue my point if you wish, but I stand firm on my belief because it came from real life experiences I've lived over a span over 25 years of hell. Stress is a choice. It's the thoughts you choose to keep from the many that go through your brain in one day. It's taken me quite a few years to learn, and make a healthy habit, but it's worth it all. I'm better for it now. I'm a happy person and thankfully can say I've never had depression, but if I had chosen I could taken that route. I'd been many times. Now I'm onto different lessons to learn.

The other factor that plays into this is only for females. After all the females are more complex in their creation. Their whole physical system is included into this. That's why it's important for men to respect the opposite sex. Men, for an example, are like black/white. Women are like a rainbow. Together they make a beautiful picture. The female system is sensitive to nutrition. The balance is trickier, more complex because more little things play into the picture. And like the saying goes: "if momma ain't happy, nobody is happy"-unknown. Happiness is the most important emotion. Let's keep ourselves happy woman! Ladies! Girls! It's our problem, not the man's. If takes a little more nutrition, weight loss, weight gain, weight maintenance, or a little less activities let's do it! It's not worth being unhappy! I've seen my mother choose it and it really honestly disappointed me as a child. I loved my mom and wanted her TRULY happy! I was unhappy because she was. I honestly had to work at being happy even if she wasn't.

Let's work together: it divides the work, multiplies success -unknown, and since life is like a roller coaster anyway let's enjoy the ride! Healthy, Happy, and Feeling ohhhh so Good:) and not so Blah!!!

Feeling Good about Yourself

Me: veteran in feeling blah for no reason, yuck when I eat to much, and a lifetime of teaching myself that I 'couldn't afford to feel good'. And all that was the problem was the fact that I was needing gluten-free products, more vitamins, minerals, and all the good that seemed to allude me as stress made my blood grow hotter. It was slowly eliminating the good nutrition and I couldn't seem to speed up the vitamins and minerals in my body.

That's my story. That's why I fought against myself to loose weight, but loosing the weight wasn't the problem. I lost weight as soon as I got a grip on the problem, and started doing my best to eliminate it. It's about having the right perspective on life. About doing the right thing at the right time. It's about taking time for what you need and not what you want. It's about putting yourself last, and thinking about something, or someone first. Yes, you do need to do what you enjoy, but you are only as good as your ability to say no to yourself.

Instincts. Everyone needs to listen to their 'gut' more nowadays. Teach yourself how to hear it, follow, and act upon it. Learn to decipher the VIM (very important message), and act on them.

Your physical health will fall into place once the most important is in place, but it takes consistent effort to maintain the health once and for all. You will start noticing how much better you feel, and that's where you keep on keeping on.

Listen to your body. It's smarter than you are, knows what it needs, and will act/react according to your changes. It wants you to help it feel better, and why not enlist yourself! Feeling Better!

Best wishes this Cmas season:)

Creative Simple Weight Loss

Weight loss can be simple, fun, and successful! Your mindset needs to be convinced, determined, and focused on the goal of your choice. ANYTHING you hear or see that will not gain you access to your goal is equal to the word 'no'! Create a weight loss board along with a dream board. On the weight loss board put pictures of what you will look like when you are done, great looking (and tasting) food that's good for you, and exercises that you enjoy doing. Walking your dog, gym/machines, aerobic classes, or yoga/pilates. Make it interesting and eye-catching! The dream board is for the places you want to see, things you want to own, and/or people you want to meet!
Keep everything you do, say, see, and hear positive, upbeat, and cheerful. Focus only on what you REALLY want to make happen. Pick three friends to loose weight with. Share your struggles and optimism. Always keep your face to the sun. -unknown. Your struggles are not important enough to focus on. They are only there to share with others and bring each together. Make the teamwork stronger. Struggles bring success, but only if you deal with it instead of focus on it. Focus on it, and it will ruin all your goals, dreams, and eventually eat your life away. You are more important than that.
If you have dreams make them your goals, and put wholehearted effort forth and watch your dreams come true! Loose that weight, gain that career/job, bring healthy nutrition to your body, or go those places you have always wanted to be!
Best wishes!
Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year:)
